We here at ETGLD want to ensure that during the current COVID-19 pandemic our patrons have access to various activities that can be enjoyed from the comforts of home. We recognize that not all patrons have reliable access to WIFI and although we are closed, you can still access our open WIFI networks from the parking lot of either the Elroy or Garfield branch from the safety of your own car (no password is required).

eBooks and Audiobooks

Central Texas Digital Consortium – via Overdrive

The East Travis Gateway Library District is a member of the Central Texas Digital Consortium. This service entitles all ETGLD patrons to access to free Audiobooks and eBooks via Overdrive. Logging in is simple: click on Sign In, choose “East Travis Gateway Library District” as your library, then enter your library card number and password (your ten digit phone number). Each account is allowed to check out 5 items at any time and keep each for 2 weeks at a time.

Now you have found an item to borrow, how do you listen to it or read it? The Overdrive or Libby app will need to be downloaded in order to use your selections. Each app will give you the same access but the Overdrive app can be downloaded on more types of devices including your computer if it is compatible. Libby is intended for Android and Apple phones and tablets.
